On the way to work this morning I was thinking about the things that inspired my fashion sense at a young age......I first thought about what my fashion sense could be compared to AAnd there I found the the answer to my fashion "inspiration". I Say this with Great Humor--But I think I dress a lot of times like a "Jackson Pollock" Painting!!! This makes a lot sense because he is my favorite contemporary Artist. His work is, wild, loud and energetically charged. His work is like a visually stunning lightening bolt, full of stimulating color. At times, his paintings seem erRatic, uncomfortably Bold, UNplanned or A big beautiful mistake that somehow worked...or....didnt?? Jackson Pollock wasn't afraid to take chances. When interviewed about his paintings at one time he said that he just "couldn't explain them". He said, " I just paint. I hold the brush and I put it to the canvas ". Jackson never tried to give a philosophical answer about his work and that is one of the reasons I have always admired his work.
My Fashion Sense, Style, Whatever you want to call it could be described as all those things. I don't plan outfits, I don't think it through.......I just put it on.
I think His paintings as well as other Artists such as "Georgia OKeefe" taught me about The satisfaction of putting certain colors together and the result is stunning. I also began painting and drawing at a young age so I am familiar with the color spectrum that God has so Richly Blessed us With! BUT---As I said in my last post, I believe in Not following the "so-called" Rules of Fashion though. "This" is in, and "This" is out. I don't think MY style has ever been "in"....... ; )
P.S- I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Cheers to Breaking All The Rules of Fashion.....LIKE this Designer Dress By Judith March. You can get it RIGHT HERE ; )
